Tech 2 replacements

I have a simple OBDII scanner, which is fine for checking engine and emission system codes. But thats all it does.

What is the best and affordable tool/scanner to check what the root cause for other warning lights like ABS, Brake, Coolant is.

I have heard about Tech 2 and that is probably a scanner than can trouble shoot most of the car but it costs $2800 in the GM version only.

Can AutoTap do the same things as Tech2?

How about the HP Tuner, can that be used to do general trouble shooting as well?

Autotap, hptuner, efilive none of them have the ability to tell you whats up with the bcm as of now...at least not that i know of...someone had posted a program that does though on another site...I'll dig around & see what I can find for you.
