    Stall

I have a 2000 Trans Am, WS6, A4 with many mods such as Heads, Cam, Headers. I installed a TCI 3500 rpm stall converter also. The car was tuned by a local tuner using EFI Live. I asked him if disabling Torque management help since I have a 3500 RPM stall converter and he said that he could not because he did not want to hurt my transmission. I notice at the track that if I left foot brake it at the start, I can only get up to 2000 RPM and the car will try to start move. Is this normal for a 3500 RPM stall converter? What will disabling torque management do? Any suggestions on what to do so I can get a higher RPM launch?

My 3600 stall would only power brake to around 2200 rpm... My 4600 now, revs to about 3400 rpm before pushing the front tires. That's normal ! I usally stage at 1800 rpm then it flashes the convertor. Hits harder...

Moving at 2000 rpm's with a TCI sounds ok. But I would not load the drive train at that RPM. I usually preload no more that 1200 rpm's. That should flash the convert higher for more torque.

you're leaving a lot on the table by not removing torque mngment. Bear in mind it is harder on the tranny but do you want to be safe or fast?
