Navy Blue Metallic- 01 SS,TT, SLP, M6
Which software and why?
I searched and found nothing on HP tuners vs. EFI Live. so which do you prefer and why? From what i have read Hp is easier for the novice tuner and efi allows more adjustability of your tune. This is now a daily driver with M6, slp lid and loudmouth. I have a ls6 maf but it was running way too lean without a tune on it. Looking into ported TB or bigger? Mid or long tubes, and dual exhaust in the near future. with a tune that should be a fun daily driver. Heads cam will come later when i can find a suitable daily driver replacement. (A4 SS dam LA Traffic)
So which route should i take HP or EFI for tuning?
thanks in advance.

when I was buying mine it came down to 2 things....price and support. HpTuners is just cheaper and it has a better support base. I think both tools are pretty powerful. I used efilives logging software from way back and it was pretty good stuff even back then so I would imagine their flashscan is a pretty good tool also. I would love to try efilives stuff so I could do a side by side comparison to see how I liked them.

Bright Red- 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6
Nice link!
Not trying to hijack, but do you know if a car is tuned with HPtuners, if it's tune can be altered by another person who also uses the same software?
Assuming the tune isn't locked by original tuner (if that is even a possibility)
My car runs very well with an HPtuners tune, but I'd like to be able to tweak the day to day driveability without bugging the tuner guy...2002 Silverado Z71 ECSB HPTuners tuned by yours truly

yes, as long as its not tunerlocked you'll be able to tune any pcm that was previously tuned with hp.

Another vote for HPtuners. I was considering either, but I found a good deal on HPtuners. In hindsight, I'm glad that I got HPtuners because they do have a good forum with lots of good information about different tuning how-to's.
