this shop said that deleting codes is illegal???

I called a place called XX Tuning to delete the codes for my bad 02's and skipshift and he said its against the law and they'd lose their license. I guess I'm gonna have to buy some 02 sims. Where have you guys gotten ur codes deleted? anywhere near northern CT?

if you buy a predator they have an option for rear o2 delete, but you can get rear o2 sims from casper electronics i know for sure, but it sounds like you have longtubes with an offroad y pipe, you should get a predator anyyways you will be very suprised with the gains you will make

Do you still have cats? sims will turn the MIL off but if they're still there the 02's are telling you somethings wrong. You can disable CAGS with a simple resistor from radio shack.

by installing a "simple resistor" couldnt you potentially install a resistor that sends back voltage to the pcm that could be reconized by the pcm as "rich" which in turn stft and ltft would both try to fix, but couldnt because you installed this resistor. so then your engine would not be getting all the fuel it needs!

the casper 02 sims have a resistor in them that sends back a voltage reconized by the pcm as a middle of the road signal, so that you will not run pig rich or run lean,

dude just get the predator and tune your car and do the rear o2 delete.

I got a skip shift selenoid thing a while ago but it throws a code and sets off my SES light for some reason. Why the hell would this throw a code???
All I have is the magnaflow cat back. I don't want to spend an extra $300 on a hand held tuner... I haven't heard much good about them, plus I don't know shit about tuning.

    Just an FYI,
nmbz28 isn't talking about adding a resistor to the 02s for the CAGS delete, it is added elsewhere.

there's a difference between clearing codes and deleting them. clearing codes just takes them out of stored memory. deleting them keeps them from ever being stored.

I've heard so many people tell me that I can get these codes permanently deleted for around $40. Every place I call is $290 or $400!!! I guess I should just order sims and undo the !CAGS...
