SES light- fan control?

i installed a fan switch in my car based on this wiring diagram- http://www.xious.com/camaro/install-fanswitch.html and it works great but when i use it the SES light comes on and it must think the fan relays are broken or something...has anyone else had this problem with their own cooling fan switches or with the SLP fan switch? and is there a better way to wire it so that i wont get that light?

I've had the SLP switch and LEDs wired to it for years and never got a code. What code is it throwing? Assume you're getting both fans on at low and high speed, correct?

i cant remember exactly but it said something like fan control 1 and yea it works the same as slp in that switch in the middle position is factory operation and then up is low speed down is high speed...does the slp one have some fake out plug-in like they do with the skip shift or something?

No, it plugs into the factory harness on both sides after disconnecting the C100 connector, then run the switch inside, connect a ground wire. Plug and play. You can see it on their site, it's PN 63011. Someone will chime in, I've seen posts where people wired their own and got a code.

oh okay...damn i never even thought of this as i was doing it i was just thinking like why pay $70 when i can make one but the SLP one is probably a lot of money so it doesnt show codes haha
