Recommended Reading?
Since joining this site, I have picked up two separate books on the LS1 and have also subscribed to GMHTP. The whole tuning thing, and what I have learned from Frost and other site members, has piqued my interest and I am seeking more information. Are there any recommended books out there?

I will have to check the exact titles at home. Both books were excellent and provided great background information.

Thanks for the post Jeff. I was just about to start my own thread about this very thing. I don't really know anything about tuning, but I am interested in learning. I agree...the mind never wants to stop learning.

Glad to see someone mentioned something about Amazon gift cards in here. I have almost $200 in GCs from Amazon! Woohoo.
Time to spend.

Reading material arrived today. I have some time this weekend and should be able to get through Fuel Injection Systems. This appears to be a primer for the Engine Management - Advanced Tuning book. If I should reverse the order I read them in, someone let me know.

The Greg Banish book is a little more advanced, it was the first book I read on tuning and confused me a bit. I would recommend an easier book first and then Banish's book, it will make it easier to comprehend.

Hey Bret,
Sorry for no reply yet to the email, the last 2 weeks have been more than hectic! Things are going pretty well, about to try and hunker down through the winter, you know how those go.

So far, the first book has been excellent. I didn't have as much free time at the show as I thought I would, so I have been plucking through it in the evenings when I get a chance.
I have found it best to go back and re-read each section 2 or 3 times to let it all soak in. The math part of it has really been instructive and the book breaks things down into understandable concepts. It's neat seeing the interrelationship of air, fuel, pressure, spark timing and everything else expressed in formulas.
