Reading trans temp stock sensor vs aftermarket sensor in pan
does the factory trans sensor (read from computer) read higher than an aftermarket pan mounted sensor? If so how much higher?

It may....it's just a thermistor. The ECT thermistor frequently reports higher than aftermarket gauges, so for the trans to follow suit would seem to be somewhat logical.
