Just have Frost do a tune for you, it will be better than any hand held tuner.

    No handheld tuner works best.

    HP tuners and frost FTW

A mail order or dyno tune will net you the most gains. We have a Hyperpac (which is not the favored unit among the hand held tuner crowd) that came with our car when we bought it. It has a canned "performance tune" that can be installed and I can make changes to shift points, shift firmness, rev limiter settings, re-calibrate for tire diameter, re-set my fan temps for cooler thermostats, etc... I primarily use it though for its other features, such as the sensor readouts. Nice to see what is actually happening.

Thats like predicting the weather, but you will get more from Frost than a handheld.

    x2

I got mine back from Frost a couple weeks ago. Only downfall is you would be without your car for a few days. But, even paying for it to be shipped next day back and forth, you'd still come out cheaper than a programmer. Sent mine at 9am one day, got to him before lunch the next, and he had it back in the mail that evening.

The only thing i have in it is a K&N intake system. But in the next couple of weeks i'm getting Flowmaster mufflers. There is someone here that is selling a superchip max tuner for $100 is this a good deal?

Flowmaster 80 series has a bad rep. I have it.. with cutouts so i dont worry They are very power robbing and arent much better than stock for HP gains.

Flowmaster makes great single chambers, its just the 80 series that has a bad rep.

Make the plunge for HPtuners if your going to be buying any programmer. If not, just pay for tune's and dino time... or if your lightly modded, Frost can take care of you.

Its really limited man.. but it does sound good at idle...

Also aint much you can do about the TB except porting the stocker.. it will yield great results but you cant do bigger than that with ls6. the bbk has issues and is actually about the same size as stock after porting.

With a cam youll need valvesprings/pushrods etc as well.

Man its been that way since 06 when I bought it. Most of the people that I have talked to says that it is still in a decent operating range and as long as it still raising when the rpms raise its ok.
