    Pcm

Thinking about buying a 1998... but I have got big plans for this thing, so where can you find a 99+ PCM, and I'm assuming it is just plug in and good to go. I just want to make sure what im getting myself into first before i buy it and realize i am held back more then just shelling out 1000 more for a 99

I believe there is some minor re-pinning of the harness connectors that needs to be done to make the swap work. As for where to find one... I'd start calling junk yards and searching around online.

alright, I had a code pop up about my cam pos sensor. Replaced it, then I had to tighten my cam bolts because two of them were backed out. My car is still doing the same thing which is that it is starting really hard. Almost like it does not want to turn over. The shop is looking through all the wiring now.

just another stock pcm to be honest... no need to upgrade... if there is a problem at all its just a random defect

    Minor huh... hahaha
It's more work than you realize, quite a bit more unfortunately.

I only say minor cuz I see people saying they can do it in <1 hour's time. Somehow I didn't think it was quite that easy.

The more I read posts like this, the more I pat myself on the back for getting an '02 with SO many benefits over the earlier models.

Who said they can do it in that time? The pins are removed from the harness connectors at the PCM and moved all around and re inserted. I'd like to say that's about 50 terminals to move around. There are a few other items as well on the sensor end.
