    P0327 Question

I'm having an issue with my 1998 Z28. It started life as an LS1 but then I replaced everything except the crankshaft and pistons with GMPP parts for a 2004 Z06 motor and it runs Great except.........

I had someone tune this and he turned off the knock sensors because he said they were bad.

I replaced the knock sensors and wire harness with AC Delco parts and had another Tuner turn them back on. (99+ sensors and harness)
I'm getting code P0327 only no other codes. I read the GearChatter post on how to test them and I think my results are Good.

Checking at disconnected harness I'm getting 100 KO on each sensor and then I did the AC volt on the meter and knock on the block test and both sensors read the same.

I disconnected the Blue connector from the PCM checked there and got the same results. 100 KO
I removed the PCM and checked between the pins (68 & 69) and the body of the PCM and got 4.83 & 4.84 KO

I'm thinking it's in the tune, am I correct? I get the same reading off each sensor and only 1 throws a code.

I take it that you do not detect any audible knock? Does it trigger all the time or only sporadically?

No...there is no knock, I listened with a stethoscope and hear nothing. This is actually a real quiet motor.
I get the warning when I check for codes and then 40 miles or so later I get the SES light.
    Yes all the time.

Do you have any way to see your knock sensor settings in your tune?

When I got that code it was because the wire harness slipped while installing the intake back on and got in the flow of the runners and cylinder and burnt the wire.

Might be something as simple as that. ^^It's why I place tape on the harness every time now.

I've read about this happening. I used duct tape to hold the harness in place (off the bumps) while I installed the intake.
Can I get all the good readings i'm getting and still have a bad knock sensor?

I would be more inclined to believe that it is a setting in your tune if they both test ok, however, anything is possible.

That's what I'm thinking, going to try and get a Tuner to check it out as soon as I can get him to see me. Getting to see a Tuner is like trying to get an appointment with my Doctor. I was reading a post where a guy said that when you have a very sensitive sensor you can wrap some black electrical tape around it a couple of turns.
