Okay guys need help pretty quick..
I had my pcmforless tune sent in, because I was running too rich., because I put in a walbro fuel pump..was running 42 lbs. at idle, so I put on an accel afpr and adj. it to 38lbs. at idle, I sent in my chip to get it leaned out, put it in today, and it pings hard when I punch it, I even put in octane booster drove around 40 miles same thing, I even turned up the fuel press. from 44lbs. at idle, all the way down to 38lbs. at idle same ping..I just had a mechanic say I was running too lean..so I am about to pull it back out and put in my stock chip...does that sound right, will being too lean make it ping, I don't want to hurt the motor, so I think I am going to have to send it back in, damn speeddensity car...wish someone had the software to richin it up for me, ...anyways do you think that is my prob...thanks..

yes, being to lean will make it ping. also, even if you dial up the fuel pressure, your ecm sees this via the o2 sensors and dials back the pulsewidth on your injectors, essentially leaning it back out. this is the problem with mail order custom tunes.

I'd rather it be too rich and perhaps smoke a little more from the exhaust than risk detonation from it being too lean
