    Need A tuning Guru!!!

    Thank You for reading this,

    I have a 2002 Camaro Z28 that with the exception of a rough warm up and wanting to stall on deceleration to idle, runs pretty good. I’m getting a blinking SES light that’s driving me nuts. The real weird thing is that it only comes on while in gear at an idle, voltage maybe???. I did a scan and I'm getting a 1153 (Bank2 fuel control shifted lean and 0171 (Bank 1 system too lean) I checked for leaks after the MAF and found nothing. Injectors are good, plugs & wires are new. Then it occurred to me that I have no CATs, a big cam, ported heads, a 4" Mufflex exhaust and no rear 02 sensors. That does explain my car running lean beyond the parameters of my fuel trim. My question is, What, if anything, can I do in HP Tune to correct this problem and make my car safe to drive???

    Be sure it's not the front O2 sensors just being too
    damn sleepy, and you have all the other codes that
    usually tell about this turned off already?

    A blinking ses light means you have a misfire, HP tuners will help to make it run good.

    I would figure out first why your getting the misfire. Then work on tuning it out figure out why its dying at decel. I dont think the o2 sensor will be that important to worry about specially with your setup if you run race gas at some point you will toast the sensors on the car. On hp tune watch your fuel maps on decel I will look at the program tonight see if i can find somethings to help you out.

    You should consider taking it to a professional to smooth things out. For beginners, your own software is nice for little adjustments but it sounds like your car needs a good amount of finessing by someone who is familiar with the ins & outs of hptuners.

    your right about that. First before you take it to a tuner you need to work out the misfire issue if your having that problem. Last thing you wanna do is sit on a dyno and pay for time thats being wasted looking for an issue that could have been fixed at home. But keliente is right a good tuner will be able to have you in an out in 1.5 hours
