Mail order tuning?
This guy claims he can tune your car for heads,cam,headers,o2 sensors, just by mailing him your pcm. Is this possible and how does it compare to a dyno tune?

a dyno/street tune is almost always going to be your best bet...with that said Jesse knows what hes doing & can get your tune pretty close for the most part & for the price for alot of people that just want to get their car to idle fine after a cam install you really cant beat it.

Is it worth doing it just for headers and the o2 sensor delete?

Do you think it would be ok or does it sound like more of a scam. He could get alot of people in before anyone found out. It's hard enough to deal with someone you can go see.

i think the hp would be great enough to notice it in the ass meter but nothing more. To squeeze out a few more hp you would to have your car dynoed and tuned while running.
but this guys deal is good so give it a try!!!

There is only so much horsepower you can get out of certain year of vehicles. It all breaks down to timing and fuel.
For a stock camaro/ transam, it is not hard to get 22 horsepower at the wheels.
The computers arent dumb, and know what is going on around them, given that the sensors that are feeding its info are accurate.
Ive tuned over 4000 cars and trucks and from what i know i have a 99.9 percent success rate. The other .01 percent is from core computers being bad and needing replaced. It is funny how protective people are over 30 bucks, but will spend 300+ for the same thing without even blinking..
The computers tune themselves if set up correctly. That is why mailorder tuning can be done. If i specifiy a specific a/f ratio on a pcm that i know reacts well with a certain setup, then the computer will "Learn" what it will take to achieve that af ratio.
Thanks guys. Jes
