    Increasing spark

I have seen a couple posts here and there about increasing spark, I am wondering for what reason you would need to increase your spark. I am just curious as to what everyone is talking about. Inform me fellas. I appreciate all you can tell.

if you were to see the spark table at WOT, it starts off around 26*. then, around 4000 rpms, it drops to 24, then starts coming back up. by smoothing this out, you can get an increase in power.

I read once that your spark curve should be the inverse of your torque curve.

Not to steal this post but to take the question a little further.
Where have most people found the best power as far as total timing? I have heard the LS1 doesn't like more than 30 degrees, very efficient combustion chamber. Anyone find a happy spot for a stock internal LS1? If so how early do you have the total peak rpm wise?
