HP tuners, AIR
Trying to turn off AIR.
Set temp to 280 on the the disable ECT
Codes set to 3 P0410,P0412, P0418, P1415, P1416
Driving around slow speeds, the air pump will still turn on and run. It will cycle a few times on and off. Then throws codes about the bank 1 & 2, sensor 1 heating. I cant remember the exact codes, if they are needed let me know i can get them. After looking i "think" it had something to do with heating.
But why is the air pump still running?
Thanks in advance!12.89 108 2.0

do you have headers? Heater codes are pretty common with headers.
we've been discussing it a little in this thread

I was wondering about this, i am glad you said that. I thought maybe i was thinking to hard. I do have headers, but i do know that when these codes pop, the air pump runs its cycle right before. So the computer must use the air pump to try and heat the front ones before it throws a code.... humm
I have race longtubes, pre-made extensions. is there any fix for this then?

try disabling that pump and see if that works but if not I've had good luck with those 13111 sensors stopping it on mine. I haven't had a heater or switching code since installing them.

This is what I used to disable my AIR and it worked for me.

KLUG23, you are overthinking this... Don't disable it with temp in the General tab unless readiness tests aren't an issue, and even if they aren't, I still don't touch that value. Just disable error reporting and unplug it.
-EDIT-
The link above my post shows it being disabled in the General tab. This is unnecessary and will interfere with readiness as I said above.Last edited by Frost; 02-16-2010 at 09:24 AM.

It has nothing to do with them at all. Turn off the heater error codes if you know the O2s are working properly and you still get them.

If they are stock then they are 9 years old, regardless of the mileage on them. Use your scanner and see what they are doing; as long as they are working as they should then you chalk up the error codes to the LTs and just disable them. If the O2s flat fail, there are other codes that will set to let you know.
