let me just say that it's well worth the $150 to get the pro version and not have these extra head aches thrown in there. It's just something else you'll have to mess with and learn. That being said the $150 just might not be doable and I completely understand....the egr write up is in that link.

Ya for what that class costs you could afford to pay for several retunes at the amount he is paying

Orion sent you a great link, and that other guy sent you to the HPtuner forum where alot of good information can be found.

I've spent hours reading and my head still spins on some of this stuff.

You will need the pro version as Orion mentioned to hook the wideband to and save the headache.

I have the standard version along with an LM1 wideband and have tried to follow along the writeup that Orion posted. It can be done on the standard but quite frankly alot of it wasn't clear enough for me to feel comfortable so I determined it's not worth the hassle to me.
So I still use the wideband just for WOT tuning and leave all the part throttle stuff to the fuel trims in HPtuner.
Takes longer and may not be as accurate but it has done it's job well enough for me.

If I had it to do over again I would have taken Orion's advice and spent the extra $150 for plug and play,,,unfortunately I didn't know Orion then

I already had the wideband too that I have been using for years on other stuff

Ya the guy is just an a hole. Told me it's 150 an hour, and it takes about a half hour to hook the car upto the dyno plus atleast an hour for the tune.... So just becadue I put a fast 92/92 setup on he wants atleast 300. No way! I'd rather just take it slow and do it my self. I've already spent about $1200 on tunes. That's just dumb. I guess live and learn. And I am going to by the pro. Thanks guys got the help

Man Orion you know where to find all the good stuff.

I remember that write up he did. That helped me out tremendously. All the pics of screen shots just really clicked with me to help me understand what everyone was talking about when I first started.

Holy shit. That is pretty in depth just reading some of that. Im sure as with anything its gets easier. Ecspeically if you get to see what people are trying to teach you! Seeing how I am already gonna HAVE to pay for someone to tune my car after my cam gets installed, Aftr readind some of this... It mkaes me think twice about buying HPtuners. My question is, if your just "decent" at tuning, how good of a tune can you really get until you can really get into the software? What's everyone's experience on it? I want more details on the actually tuning side of it, not just monitoring and adjusting fan kick on temp's.

Who has some first hand experience with HPtuners?
