Hand Held Programmer.....?
I was checking into little hand help programmers and i ran across a hypertech hyperpac...i just wanted to know if anyone has had any experience or any good/bad things that people know about these things....because from what i read they sound like a pretty nice tuner.

for a basic tune, i'd save half the money and do a mail-in. just my opinion.

they'll know whats best i'm sure for stock or simple bolt-on mods.

Your pretty close to stock right? No cam or heads I assume. Put stock for idle speed. I dont see why you would want to raise the idle with just minor bolt on.
Shift points, maybe send him a PM and tell him you want to firm them up alittle bit and take the delay out.

Our car came with a Hyperpac and it is a nice unit -- I use it primarily for reading sensor data. We had problems with the secondary air system and it was good for reading and re-setting DTC's. I will be adjusting my fan temps this weekend as I just installed a cooler thermostat and may play with shift points. My understanding is that the Hyperpac is not the favored unit among the hand held tuner crowd...

Thats what ive heard as well.. not many people on here like the hypertech units very much at all, but that hyperpac looks like a pretty cool hand held.

I know this is way off topic but i just wanted to know if anyone have painted their calipers themselves, if it was hard?, how much it cost, if the color matched pretty good, and where to get a kit?

I do not know how to reference another thread -- here is what I posted a few days ago in response to a similar question:
I just did my brake calipers over the weekend: 1) Removed the caliper and used a coathanger to hang it from the wheelwell. 2) Unbolted and removed the caliper bracket and removed the brake disc. 3) Pulled the caliper pins from the bracket, plugged the holes and taped off the lip where the rubber boots seat. 4) Removed the rubber cap from the bleeder. 5) Used brake cleaner on all parts and then went over everything with a small brass brush. 6) More brake cleaner. 7) Taped off the brake hose and bleeder, used a garbage bag and newspaper to cover the suspension, axle and wheelwell. 8) Took a plastic cap from a can of spray paint and cut down the outside to about 3/8 of an inch (easiest way is to run tape around the cap for a straight line) and then slit the center part of the cap so it slides right into the piston and protects the boot also (had to cut a bit deeper for about 1/5 of the circumference for a tight fit). 9) Spray painted the caliper and bracket. 10) Also painted the center of the rotor and hub with POR using a foam brush. Worked great and I didn't have to bleed brakes when I was done.

With regards to the tuning contact steve aka Frost, here on the board. He does mail order tunes. His price is very reasonable, lots of guys here use him and he does very nice work. Leave the hyperjunk in the box. With regards to painting the rotors. I've been thinking about it, I've seen a few people do it. Problem is they look horrible when the paint starts to flake off.
