got the computer back and issues

I just put a cam in my car as well as had the computer done. Now I got it out and it started right up. Took it for a spin and it is not running great. It back fires some and most of all you can smell the gas fumes really bad. you can see it to. Took that plug out and it is black really black. and so are the pipes. Could the back firing be because of to much fuel. I also took out the air pump and had them delete that out but never pulled the the fuses.

You are definately running rich. Who did the tune? The fuses won't make a difference in how the car runs. Sounds more like the tune isn't right.

It does take a while for the PCM to sort everything out again -- I think the information Frost provides with his tunes states that it can be up to 100 miles before everything settles in. That being said, what other work has been done on the car? Have you gone over everything again to ensure that all your connections are good, ie. no vacuum or air leaks.

texas speed did it. Um yeah I went over everything again and doing again tomorrow haha. I did have the number 8 plug wire not plugged in well must have not had it tight on the coil. But after putting it back on it still did it. I Have headers tr230/224 575/563 cam exhaust no cats the second set of O2 are deleted out. slp mas air and lid 150 shot ported tb. Was thinking when I was driving it it should clean it self out like a car with a carb. But guess not with fuel injection just going to keep giving it more.
