Ecu locked
So the previous tuner out of Sho Mo Speed locked my ECU. So basically my ECU is a brick. What are my choices other than buying a new ECU?
10secWS6 If you can't swing it, then don't bring it

I know Frost sells them, depending on what was used for tuning he may be able to unlock it.

I believe he can unlock it then.
Call him, he's a member & a sponsor.

I agree -- see what Steve (Frost) has to say about it. He does excellent work, is reasonably priced and has a fast turn around time.

Email sent just have to wait for his response. If anything I'll replace the whole ECU and retune

You might want to try PM'ing him on here instead. He probably gets over 100 emails a day.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

Steve does keep pretty busy -- that's the price of having an excellent reputation and doing great work.

Yes sir, unfortunately I can't wait so I'm replacing the ECU and getting my own tune

Yeah hes said that several times. Calling is faster especially when spring time is starting. Spring summer is his busy time. Everyone getting cars ready after being put away.

I would of but I couldn't find a number. Either way I think my choices are pretty limited.

So I got the tune done. It seems that the ECU wasn't locked in the first place. I have know idea why he said he locked it. But money saved.
We used the previous tune as a base. Very good tune just had to make some adjustments on timing. Very drivable car.
We are going to go more "aggressive" here in the future.
Also the boost gauge reads 17 psi. But in fact I'm only running 11 psi. I'll believe datalog over a gauge any day

How was the boost logged -- standalone instrument at the shop? On aftermarket gauges that have an analog output you can create a custom PID with the tuning software so the gauge readout goes directly into the program.

Boost was read off of HP software. Gauge is digital

Using the MAP sensor then. Got it.
