Could it be my tune?..

Okay so when I decide to really open her up, i cant! She gets stuck at about 130mph and the rpm's stay at about 3k in sixth gear... Im practically putting my foor through the fire wall but it doesnt go more. WTF! Could it be the "tune" this jerkoff did?

ehhh.....lol, does it totally stop at 130 or does it just take a looonnggg time to gain speed in 6th

The rpm's freeze at 3k and wont go anymore ill let go and step on it again and it'll go to about 3k again and stop

Sounds like the top speed limiter was left intact in the tune.

does the engine cut off/on at that mph? for a manual car, i haven't heard of them having a limiter at 130 mph and 6th gear isn't a good one to try for top speed.

No, engine keeps running and car wants to go but it like freezes at 3k rpm in 6th at around 130mph

try taking it to 130 in 5th, u dont need to be in 6th yet

I know the speed limiters were set according to the tires that came on the car from the factory. H rated tires are 130 mph limited but I'm not sure if H rated tires came on the f-bodies. I know T (118mph) did. I agree with others too that 6th is probably too much gear for a stock car to pull very far. Should try 5th which will go way over 130. Actually, unless you're on a track you shouldn't be going that fast anyhow. I might be on the same road with my kids in the car.

I have z rated tires and maybe i shouldve mentioned i have 4.10's too

when i go to the track im getting to 105 in the top of 4th... Maybe i was in 5th gear? Fuuuuuuuuck im confused now

And i do apologize for going that fast on the highway but i was alone and the highway is fairly new and in great condition

so i had to do it

Me having 4.10's i get to about 116-118mph top of my 4th. I think with the 3.42's i was about 128mph top of 4th.

Well guys i should be getting my new shocks by the end of this week and gonna aligned her too

and i am gonna balance all my tires on saturday at school, i did notice last sunday that the little weights fell off the wheels, Discount tire couldn't stick em good, so ill go to my favorite piece of lonely highway and see of she gets scared and shakes again
