    Corvette Nitrous Tuning

Im driving a 99 vette m6 and am about to put a 100 shot or a 150 shot in (NX dry kit). Will the stock fuel injectors be sufficent for these shots? I am def. going to get some baselines to make sure the car isint running too lean. How much am I looking at to get it tuned correctly?

150 no way. I even think 100 would be too much. Can't you run it as a wet shot?

What would be the problem? I watched a kid run a 00 vette (smaller injectors) last weekend a 100 shot (dry NX) just fine.

I don't know about a Vette, but the 99 f-bodies had smaller injectors. If you run out of injector you will run lean.

Just get it dynoed to check your AFR.

How much do you think they would charge to tune it?

Probably a few hundred. Trouble is, since its a dry shot. Any tuning would screw up your N/A tune.

Oh well hopefully the stock shit will be able to compensate for it so it wont be a problem. Anyone else know anything?

Well...I run a 100 wet shot and spent quite a lot of time researching this very subject...I have an 04 GTO by the way....have way too much money in it without blowing it up or doing damage over a 100 shot for sure......the concern with a dry shot is the MAF's ability to compensate for the burst very very quickly without allowing a very lean state for a few seconds while the computer adjust fuel to match the air flow.....many many testimonials about blowing/frying cylinder number 7 doing exactly this.....the other issue is pooling of fuel in your intake...kaboom.....dry shot is just fine if properly tuned...on the dyno.....If I recall correctly you have 42lb injectors stock...mebbe 38's....don't remember......your fuel pump should maintain 62lbs never any lower than 50lbs at WOT with the nitrous running.....you most definitely need a WOT Switch....Fuel Pressure Safety Switch.....Bottle Warmer...and I would put a Window Switch in there also.....never ever hit it when your bottle pressure is below 900......and never even attempt to install and run it without a dyno tune to make sure your good to go......I would seriously consider a wet shot......And by the way...I wouldn't dismiss ol Ed there so quickly....boy knows his shit for sure and is giving you sound/rational advise you solicited.....hope some of this helps you with your decisions...
