Code P1870 & TCC Slip Table
I am tuning a 2000 C5 with an A4 and a 3000 Yank stall. I have changed all the usual things associated with a stall installation but this one is giving me trouble with un-locking the TCC and TCC slip. --- Going into limp mode with full line pressure and 250* trans temps--Causing the P1870 code-- I've read that there is a table called "TCC slip table" but I can't seem to find it exactly written that way--Does anyone know another description of it or the table # in EFILIVE ??--The fix is supposed to be to set the Max to 100 and the Min. to 90.

in hptuners it's called TCC Duty Cycle. set max to 100 and min to 92 it's for the lock up solenoid.

Thanks---There is a table in the trans diagnostics called "trans slipping test "
Do you know what this table does ?-Will changing these #'s eliminate the P1870 and the TCC slip? or is it just a table that addresses the TEST procedure only and not the actual slipping ??

the trans diag is just the parameters to set the ses light. i'm downloading the demo to have a look at it.

ok looking at a 2002 z06 file thats provided with the demo, look in Transmission Calibration < TCC < Pressure. you'll have two tables
TCC Solenoid Minimum PWM set @ 10.00
TCC Solenoid Maximum PWM set @ 96.00
change to 92.00 and 100.00

I'd be happy to give it a shot--Can you tell me the description of the tables you messed with so far ??---
I can tell you which ones I adjust and which way --now that you have the EFILIVE demo--you can punch in the table # and see what it is---
PS: Have you drilled a hole in the T-Body blade ?? More of a band-aid they
say--Tuned correctly and you shouldn't have to drill it---here lies the
dilema--figureing out how to tune it correctly--

i borrowed a tune from the hptuner repository. made changes to the following tables:
Target Idle RPM - to 1000 rpms just to get somewhat of an idle
Base Running Airflow < Idle Airflow vs Coolant Temp was raised 5.00 across the board
IAC Park Position was raised 14.00 across the board
here's the specs on the motor and what's on it
http://www.stealthram.com/408.htm
the TB is a NX 85mm no hole
first start it idles high (expected). then, once the adaptive idle kicks in, starts surging.
give me your email and i'll send you the file

I think so--Those 2 tables you gave me seemed to have helped--but the #'s were stock---so I adjusted those to read 100 max and 90 min --someone from EFILIVE recc. those settings--I drove it after and the trans temp only got up to 205 after 30 mins of driving when before it would get to 250 in the same amount of time---I logged the TCC slip table and it was within parameters of -4 and + 40 averageing about 10 so the TCC is not slipping anymore when locked --Tomm. the owner is going to take it on an hour drive and we'll see what happens---THKS---NO CODES either !!!!

good deal. people on hptuners recommended the same 100 and 92
