    Code 0327:need Help!?!

This code has just been thrown after having the car dyno-tuned.

Never threw code beforehand but probably just coincedental.

I had a friend reset the code but it came back after 20 minutes of driving.I then took it back to performance shop where it was hooked up to laptop and driven about, thus verifying NO knock was present(appearing as though its false code?)He erased code again, and I drove car over 100 miles without a code prompt but it came on again immediately after I did a 1st gear 100 ft. burnout.

Possible bad electric connection?...Bad KS?...Is it possible exhaust bumping cars undercarraige may set KS off???

ALSO IMPORTANT...Will this hurt my car if I continue to drive as is and wait till winter to remove intake and fix if needed?

    ANY INPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

Already did.He ran diagnostics while driving car.

He says car is not knocking and the code is due to something else but not the tune.
I believe him since he is quite reputable...Situation still sucks though!

did it do this before the tune ? you will need a scan tool that has flight recording so you can monitor. did the tuner modify timing/fuel tables ?

    Thanks for the input guys.

To answer questions...I'm running longtubes with 3" X-pipe and it does touch now and again so tonight I'm going to get under there and see where it is hitting.

No,it did not do this before the tune.Yes the fuel/air,ect..were tweeked. However at the same time I installed highflows which caused the touching of the exhuast system underneath at certain rpms.

My exhaust on occasion rattles on the under side of the car @ WOT and it never causes KR...

I'm betting ur tune is running lean or pushing too much timing. I'd get a second opinion on the tune BEFORE you hurt something serious!

that code is about the front knock sensor. either the sensor itself, or the wiring.

At this point it appears to be bad KS.

The shop says the car is running perfect with no knock whatsoever,so my question is this...

Can I have them disable the KS for now and replace them in the offseason?

If I do will this hurt the car or effect performance so long as there is no code registering?

Not a wise choice, unless you're willing to back off your timing and/or richen up the tune a bit. The KR sensors allow the PCM to retard your timing, saving you from detonation. If you want to disable its ability to do this... should be for a better reason than you don't have time to deal with it.

no, using water on the engine has been known to kill knock sensors. The water gets under the intake and settles on the sensors.

LMAO. He's only suggesting that if you HAVE done that before that it COULD be responsible for the knock sensors dying...

But thats right, don't use a garden hose to clean the engine bay. Bad idea.
