    Chips?

    you guys are gonna have to forgive me cuz i am new to this domestic scene, and on the import scene, chips are a joke and we all just do FM systems. however, i know a couple guys and they their "chips" they put in really make a difference, i've been doing a little looking around and found one so far that looks legit...it's my by FAST, anyone have any knowledge of this chip, or jsut chips in general. thanks

    no, best advice to you is to get a dyno tune or something or that nature, then you can see from a stock car get about +2 MPG and then anywhere from 15-30hp out of it, and it is tuned properly to your car insted of downloading a program that has been preset on the chip.

    LS1 computers don't use chips, when someone wishes to modify them, they are flashed. You'll find chips in 93 & below cars.

    A tune on an LS1 car can go a long way, even on a stock car.

    The only chips you'll find in LS1 cars usually come in bags and from a convenience store. Just be careful with any dip while driving.

    that is about what i figured, these guys were telling me how they bought these chips for $35 and were telling me they could really feel the difference, but before i threw the BS flag, i figured i'd check with some people that knew. thanks guys.

    They probably bought the infamous .50 cent radio shack resistor off Ebay for 30 bucks and got ripped off.

    It's so silly how much business people selling those get! I'm all about power programming as far as fast and easy goes...
