crank angle sensor something...basically if you do a mail tune with a computer that wasnt yours origonally the computer has to learn the position of the crank...if its off your car can run crappy & throw codes and all that good stuff.

It sets up the computer to be able to accuratly detect missfires. It is needed any time you change something on your rotating assembly, Even a clutch. Or you replace your computer or flash it with a full rewrite from another vehicle.
