    can't link to computer!

    98 trans am, starts fine, bogs bad off idle. Checked fuel pressure. It's at 34psi and stays there. I'm pretty sure a new fuel pump will fix the problem. I changed the fuel filter, same psi. But I can't connect to the computer to pull codes. It will not connect. I don't want to change out the pump when it may be some kind of computer problem?? Also used two different scanners, my $300 one and my freinds $6000 one. Don't think it's the scanner and all the fuses are good. Any ideas????

    I'd doublecheck the CIG/ACCY fuse inside the car.

    That fuse also powers the DLC port under the dash. Not sure if that's your issue but something easy to check.

    had same problem with the computer, toke me a day to figure out it was that little CIG/ACCY fuse that was the reason i could read it

    the fuel pressure won't have anything to do with the computer. i'm going to assume you have a ls1 car. you are supposed to have 58 psi. change the fuel pump.
