Can I borrow a Hypertech or other tuner?

Just wondering if someone has a tuner I could borrow to set my car's speedo to read for 3.73 gears instead of the stock 3.42's.

Can't borrow a Hypertech. To use it on someone else car you have to delete any thing done to the owners car. Then, vice versa.

Mine is for a 1999, sorry. You might check in the for sale section, you can find used ones for not too much usually.

Ok, thanks. I was kinda wondering about whether or not they were useable on more than one car. Can't afford to pay $300 or so for one.

A dyno/tune shop can do it for you, probably charge you their minimum one hour fee, maybe even less - only takes a few minutes.

Well, other options if you don't know anyone with HPT or something similar are a handheld tuner purchase or send the PCM off and have it done. Not sure if HPP3 will give you the option of resetting for non-stock gears or not though? Can't remember. I had one years ago and it worked for my 2.73-3.42 swap...sold it on one of the boards for $120 shipped - if you go that route make sure it's been returned to stock and has the capability to change gears to 3.73.

Yeah, I guess I'm just gonna have to deal until I can drive to Memphis or Nashville.
