Beware of 409motorsports
Beware of 409motorsports in SC!!! They will screw up your PCM, not return e-mails and hang up on you when you have not said anything bad! Shaw the B!TCH who did my tune screwed up everything you could imagine! Then tells me if there is a problem she will re-tune or take care of it.She told me dyno-tunes would only return an extra 3hp compared to her LS1edit tune, she said she worked for BBK and those TB are junk. Tell all that to Nick Williams and by the way let me show you a real tune! Even if she gave me a little somethin' somethin' at $100, I'm still overpaying! She kept questioning her bf about what she was doing! Then she tells me my 280hp dyno pull is real good for my car. You've got a surprise coming your way darling!

She claims to have done this professionally. I have filed with the BBB and also found her trying to get mail order tunes on Craigslist. I made a note warning people. Slime ball. Also the dyno techs she was affiliated with are doing the same. They allowed my brakes to catch fire. I have it on YouTube. D and D Mobile Dyno. I need to file a BBB complaint with them tomorrow. I had to TELL them to use a fire extinguisher! Mine! And they never returned it! www.youtube.com/ashevillestreetrods.com See dyno fire part I and II.

More dirt on 409MS...They are breaking policy on Craigslist.org! They have ads across the country! This is the kind of crap a$$ people we don't need to screw our cars up. Here are just a few:

http://knoxville.craigslist.org/pts/671945149.html
http://knoxville.craigslist.org/pts/671945149.html
and there is more! Just do a Google search for LS1 PCM tune
This needs to be a sticky!
Was it worth the $100 you scammed me for darlin' - to have your scheming uncovered? Bend over now and be a good B----! This is starting to be worth a few bucks in entertainment! I notice when I caught D and D Mobile Dyno Services that they have pulled the ad they had. Here is my new handle LS1 PI(Private Investigator) hehehehehe!

Ok, need your help! Please flag the ads on Craigslist! Go to the ads above and flag as 'spam/overpost'. They are NOT supposed to be doing this per Craigslist policy! This is the type of people we are dealing with...dishonest. Don't let others get ripped off. Read Craigslist policy if you don't believe me! Search google for 'Ls1 PCM tune' and scroll through to see how many cities this gal is on! Boston, Maryland, Greenville, Austin, Anchorage, and more! This is wrong.

We're making progress! But it is so easy to slip in another ad? Anyone know how to expedite this?

That's funny, I just saw ads from them tonight on Boston and Providence CL.
I was wondering about them, it seemed kind of shady to me to be posting ads like that.
EDIT: Just flagged Boston and RI ads.

Still need many more to be flagged! Good job!
Crazy thing is the professional tuner who did my car was willing to explain & teach this young lady a proper tune. I told her with good intentions and was very polite. B@@bs and a pretty face go a long way.
Can I have my money back now? Also, please don't scew up any other PCMs, please!Last edited by TedsB4Csled; 05-16-2008 at 02:54 AM. Reason: spell

Why did you go to South Carolina for a tune? I heard Western Carolina Speed was a good place, and they are in Asheville.
-

No Western Carolina Speed here? We have Appalachian Performance and they do dyno tunes for $500, regular tunes were $300. They didn't seem to confident/knowledgable when I spoke and e-mailed them.
Some one on this forum mentioned 409 did a mail order tune for $100 or $50 for 2x changes. He either knows this game or saw the tune listed on Craigslist. I hope he reads this and tells the story, because he asked me to let him know how it went. I PM'd him and nothing. Maybe you'll explain, or maybe I'll call you out, and your posts and PMs?
No way was I gonna mail my friggin' PC with the luck I've had. So I contacted Shaw at 409 and she seemed very confident in her abilities and had a performance LS1 site. She has owned, in her words, many LS1s and was a tuner for BBK throttle bodys?...another bag of worms there....oh, and "..dyno-tunes will only get you 3-4hp over a mail order tune.." - BS!!!!!!! It was that soothing, yet evil Angelina Jolie, succubus voice that got me . Anyway, as I would not mail it in, she suggested coming to Anderson, SC for the car/truck show...and she could tune it per our agreement: dyno it after initial basic tune, dyno again.....and then adjust. Not really a dyno tune, but I was supposed to see results. I saw results all right, lucky for them it started to drizzle, NOT rain, drizzle....and they had to pack it all up. Sorry I couldn't complete what we agreed on, sorry we burnt the back end of your car, we can't continue....Let me know if you need adjustments and I will take care of it. ....Yeah Shaw I need an adjustment, my bank account or you in my bedroom for a couple of hours Blah, blah, blah....f'd up my car, embarrassed me with our club, bled my wallet, left me with unfinished tune.... and the dyno guys gave me a few bucks back while making off with my fire extinguisher! They told me to hurry to a car wash to remove fire extinguisher chemicals from wrecking my rim.....just watch the vids. Ok I'm off to wash wheels and your getting out of dodge. Come to find out there was a Stacey with the Dyno techs who used to scam the way Shaw is doing it now! That's another story, buy the book.
So I had a place to crash in Greenville and made a visit there. next morning I met the devil spawn tuner with boobs. I learned my lesson the REALLY HARD way, DOUBLE WAMMY and had to drive 4 hrs(round trip) with blown & burnt rear brakes to www.williamsperformance.net to pay for the mother of all tunes at only $300!!! Had I gone there initially I would have saved about $504! Brake pads/rotors/calipers/replace brake fluid/labor. If you add in the cost of gas the B!t@h cost me over $1k!!! And she never returned an e-mail or call and hung up on me! Matter of fact I will post the e-mail next...

Hey Shaw,
Did you receive my email regarding my tune problems the other day? I was
hoping we could resolve this? Maybe split the difference? Say $50 refund?
Between the tune and the dyno I had a real bad day. I think I have been more
than fair here. Put yourself in my situation. Atleast let me know you have rec'd
my e-mails.
