    Any one ever blow a motor?

    Just woundering if anyone on here has blown a motor trying to tune it them selves. just curious. Thanks

    3 or 4 were FI guys. One of them just *had* to take his car home 2 days early to bring back to do WOT in 2 days... he went out and did EVERYTHING that he PROMISED he wouldn't do... and then tried to play dumb and act like he didn't. It blew both headgaskets and broken ring lands on #7, #5, and #8. The two other guys were turbo guys. Both had unexpected overboost. One of them decided to stay in it because it "felt fast". The other one just pushed timing too far. He thought he was good but his tuning was done one gear at a time. When you go WOT and put 4 gears together, cyl temps really rise. He had done his tuning in second gear on the street.
