advice on tuners

I am trying to get advice on which handheld tuner would be best for my setup. I would much rather go get it professionally tuned, but there is nobody local to me that can hook it up. Here is what I'm working with.

99 Z28 with Lingenfelter smallblock
Stock compression…

Mahle Coated forged aluminum pistons

Mahle molyfile fit rings

Speedpro Heavy duty rod bearing

Speed pro heavy duty main bearings

Thunder Racing Custom Split Pattern Camshaft for Nitrous/Supercharger applications- 224/227 .563/.569 114 LSA

comp cam springs,

SLP double roller timing chain,

uppers and lowers,

mac mids,

custom x pipe to true duels with bullet mufflers,

subframe connectors,

strut tower brace,

hurst shifter,

optimum battery

Spec stage 3

4:10 gears

The car hasn't been tuned after the cam install and definitely runs rich. Any suggestions?

Handhelds for major mods like cams is useless. You need to get it dyno tuned. Or at least send your pcm out to Frost to get it back on the road until the dyno.

I actually found a dude who can tune it using hptuners. I was thinking that a handheld wasn't going to help me out very much. Thanks for your reply.

Yeah I would talk with someone about a pro-tune. Safest bet to get you going right if you're not familier with serious tunning..imho
