    Question 2-3 shift lag

I'm looking for advise on what to change in LS1edit to get rid of or at least reduce lag between 2-3 shift at WOT. I logged 3 runs and 2-3 shifts are at 5900ish and 73mph, right where they are set. But I have a 2-3sec lag till it actually engages. It doesn't hit the rev limiter. I've read alot on here but still haven't found the answer. So any help would be appreciated

have you done any tranny tuning yet on it? I'd raise the shift pressure, remove torque management, and cut the desired shift time in half. Some people zero that table but I just reduced mine by 50%.
desired shift time is trans calibration>shift firmness>desired shift time. Just multiply that table by 50%.

If you haven't removed torque management you'll see more of a difference by doing that. There are 2 parts to torque management.....a tranny part and a spark part.

The desired shift time table does more than it eludes to. If the times are over a half second (0.500) then there is some adaptive learning that is allowed. I don't like this, because I want the tranny to repeatedly shift where I tune it to. I set that table to 0.250 across the board typically, or at *least* in the high throttle areas.

Mostly though, Orion hit it on the head. Tq. management is REALLY noticeable in the 2-3 shift.

86Montess I was in your neck of the woods last night and will be tonight as well... working on a certain blueSS (make it easy, her husband has a 9second gorgeous red 3rd gen)...

For torque reduction in trans cal area, do I just zero it out?

Very nice, I believe I've seen it.

Also in the trans cal area under A4 Shift Speed, what determines Perf Mode?
And under A4 Shift Firmness, Whats abuse mode?

Where is my Sig at? Should be seen but not showing.

Frost are you going to track this Friday? I might but need to find a helmet.... but might just go to see cars run.
