    Question 02 Z06 Tach. Problems

Please see the compressed version of mods. in my signature. The shop that built the motor says that the engine with the forged internals, bearings, blower cam, etc... is out running the capabilities of the factory tach. The car starts bouncing off the rev limiter at 6,000rpm's and the builder said according to his Dyno-Jet Dyno it was actually pulling 6,500rpm's. I do not want a big "look at my moster tach" sitting on my dash. The current boost and fuel pressure gauges are on the A-pillar and cloke pretty good behind the tinted windows. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ouch man. Thats a tough one to figure out. I would not want one of those big things on my dash either. Have you checked around to see if anyone has Z06 gauge faces that go to a higher RPM? There must be someone out there that will custom make one for you if need be. I'll look for one myself. Good luck however.

The factory tach. would actually be fine if it would keep up. I've just never heard of that about any modern day factory tachs. Surely someone else has a forged 346 set up with forced induction. Any body else have tach. problems?
