What are the best parts too get and from where?

I think i may have orginally posted this in the wrong forum. If anyone can help or even point me in the direction of a link to find this information it would be greatly appreachiated.

I have to fix a rear axle seal and replace a u-joint. So i figured while i was back there and had everything apart i would go ahead and replace a few minnor parts.

Ive been looking at the "Installation Kit, Ring and Pinion" from SLP. It comes with new pinion bearings, carrier bearings, crush collar, shim assortment, and seal. Is this a good kit too use, are there better out there?

Also for the u-joint ive been lookin at a couple on the summit site. Is there any prefered brand of u-joints or superior quality ones i should be putting in?

I prefer the Ratech kits, which you can get at Summit. A Deluxe kit costs about $15 less than the SLP kit, and has the same (maybe a little more) stuff. Rebuilding the rear end with one of those kits is pretty involved, so you might want to look at the procedure if you haven't done one before.

I put one of the Precision U-Joints from Summit in my car & haven't had a problem with it, so that's my vote.

Like said above if you havent built a rear befor then i wouldnt even attempt without someone that is familiar with it. Leave out a shim and your rear will eat itself in a few hundred feet. Dont get the spacing correct and the same issue. Your call though, if you feel comfortable doing the rebuild then go for it.
I would stay away from the slp kit, there are far better kits out there for far less cash, just search around in our "sponser" section.
