Viper T-56 fitment?
Any one know if the Viper T-56 will bolt up to our cars? looks the same just would like toknow?

I believe the output shaft splines are different and I think the input shaft splines are different as well, but not 100% sure on the input part.

The Viper output shaft is a 31 spline, standard f-body is 26 spline.

not like this matters but the viper gears are longer right? are they stronger or lighter also?

The input shafts are a different length and spline count . The output shafts are different as well with the GM & Fords using a 27 spline output and the Viper used a 31 spline output shaft . The front plates and tail housings are also different .
Most people think a Viper spec'd GM T56 is the same as a Viper T56 and its not . You have to modify the GM tail housing to accept the larger Viper T56 mainshaft .
