Up grading to 3.73s (ring and pinion?)
i have 3.23s right now and was wondering what ring and pinion brand to go with for 3.73s so basicly what is the most reasonable set up or better brand to go with.
Oh and my camaro is an A4 and will prolly be running a 3200 stall this summer.
Thanks for all who will post

I would go with American Axle they make great quality gear sets. I have them on my car, I did the install, quiet as stock!
Dont go with imported cheaper gear set. It's not worth it!

Can't go wrong with Motive gearsets...they're GM and fit perfect with no noise.

would I feel any difference by "seat of the pants" if I changed my 3.42's to 3.73's? I know its not a huge gain like to 4.10's...but i just dont want to have to buy a 4 series carrier

how hard is it to do yourself? Im thinking of doing myself. I dont feel like paying someone else to do it, and ill spend 2-3 days trying to get it right, I dont care. Anyone know where I can get an install guide? Should I buy a new one or just take the one out of my old car??? I dont have much more money now after getting a new car :/ (sorry for jacking thread)

Black- 1993 Firebird Formula
I just finished doing it myself (it was my first time too) and its not really hard, but you really need the proper tools and a really good impact gun. The two hardest things was beating out and beating in/on the bearings and tightening up the pinion nut. I had an impact rated at only 90psi and blew it up trying to put the pinion nut on at 125 ft-lbs.
Anyway, make sure you know how to use a dial indicator and be sure to follow the directions. Which are located in the FAQ sticky in this thread. I didn't follow the directions exactly and had to tear it apart a week later....
