torque tube to BBC
Is it possible to adapt a C-5, T-56 / torque tube to a ZZ502 BBC crate motor? I know I can convert to an open drive shaft, but I would prefer to keep the tube... thank you...

Looking at the back of the clutch housing where the torque tube connects to, it looks very close to the same mounting. The big question is do you have a manual trans, or an automatic?

I don't have either yet.. But I would prefer a 6spd. I am looking for a local Bellhousing back c5 donor chassis now.

Mcleod has a modular bell housing that I believe I can make work. It has plates to add or remove to change the depth and the end is machine-able to match the end of the C5 torque tube. I think I won't even need to change the length of the output shaft. Just have the flywheel drilled to match the C5 pressure plate and find the right pilot bearing... Seems easy enough?
