Top Speed with 4.10s?

I'm just curious what you guys think my top speed would be with the new gears. it's an M6 if that makes any difference. I used to tell people that my T/A would do 165, i'm sure it's lower now. The roads in CT don't really allow me to test it out... the most i've done is 140. does anyone have any idea what it would be with the 4.10s?

Depends on which gear you feel comfortable going WOT in.


I refuse to run WOT in 5th or 6th gear. Too hard on a tranny I am already pushing the limits on.
Top speed on a 26" tire for me....124MPH. Spinning to 6700RPM. Of course, that is 4th gears peak.

hmm, well i never really go WOT in 5th or 6th cuz i would only do it if i was about to redline in 4th. like i said i don't really have good roads around here for doing that. I've also got a lot less power than you... probably 200 rwhp less. btw, what ratio gears are u using?

Power doesn't change the fact 5th and 6th gear are small and weaker.

4.11's for me.

Here's a calculator, but you'd need some power to do the possible top speed in 6th.
