    T/A rear end girdle?

Does the T/A rear end girdle do anything? If not, is there anthing else I can do to strengthen my rear?

I have one and it has kept my rear alive so far. Of course, if I ever dead-hook, my 10-bolt will turn into confetti...

I got one as a precautionary measure when rebuilding my rear. It can't hurt but I'm sure it doesn't do much. It does look cool though.

Yes there is a few things you can do.......
C clip eliminators. I hate when I break the rear and the axle comes all the way out while going down the track. 2 out of the 4 times the axle with the wheel and tire still in tact rolled back into the car once it ground to a stop and caved the door in.
Weld the akle tubes to the center section.....They are only tack pined to the housing now. Twisted a few before.
And putting the cap girdle.....which yes it does add strength by keeping the carrier caps from flexing.
I've chot carriers out of the case before also without having the cover with the girdle.
Don't be afraid of the bottle!!! Be afraid of your tune!!!
