So I am done with an automatic transmission that slips, I am going to bite the dust and start new with a T-56 and I'm going to do it the right way. Black- 99 WS.6 - Modified
Just curious, why not swap in a Performabuilt auto? Jeff loves his. Not that I'm against the swap, if that's what you'd prefer. Just figured it'd be a cheaper and easier way to go.

What about a united crossmember t/a relocation kit instead of the crossmember and extra parts? Seems about equal in cost

What color is your interior? I have a black m6 console if you go ahead with the swap.

Seems like stock T-56 in these cars after 97 were made in mexico by Tremec with crappy parts... Might be biased becuase mine just blew...leaving me stranded in a crazy thunder storm. Looking at better transmission swap options and getting rid of this garbage trans.. Good luck on your swap and I wish you better luck than what I had with this trans.

Not to hi-jack, but what failed? There are definitely some weak points to the T56 like synchros, 3-4 shift fork, and a bad rail design which makes shifting fast at WOT not as smooth as other transmissions, but overall it's a pretty solid trans. Tons of people running 10's without issue on stock parts. Even some in the 9's. I also had an issue with mine at only 12,000 miles on my car so I sent it to RPM transmission and had it built with upgraded components. It's been flawless since. That was about 3 years ago now. The synchronizer key busted on a hard shift into 4th. An aftermarket shifter with positive solid stops helps with that as well.
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

OP - I would look for another vendor for your clutch. I didn't pay anywhere near that for my Spec Stage 3+

I found another clutch that a gracious member on here showed me and I am still looking for interior parts. Went to the junk yard and picked up a new gauge protector or whatever that plastic piece is around the cluster. Might pick up a ebony center too for M6

OP, I speak of experience on this one.
DO NOT GET A McLeod SFI bellhousing 8710-00.
They do not fit properly without modifications. The plate that is suppose to sit flush with the block DOESN'T. F-body oil pans can stick out almost an 1/8" around the lip.
If you still want or need a SFI Bell Housing look up Quick Time SFI Bellhousing for F-body. It cost me about $550+shipping.
I was down 6 weeks because I tried to find a OEM replacement - good luck, then I tried the McLeod - I stated the problem already. I was even warned about it by another member that had the same issue. It says it's universal but it's not. I even called McLeod and they told me to either grind my oil pan flush <<< or grind a clearance lip on the plate to accommodate the oil pan lip. And oh that voids the warranty and the SFI rating.
The Quicktime BH dropped right in with no issues and it is beefy and strong as hell.

I was actually looking at the LS2 and T56 tranny combo that they have going on ebay. It looks like a great deal and it only has 56K miles on it
