Any One know of any upgraded driveshats?
or was this a freak thing?
Launched at 3800
Tires: Nitto 555R's 22 psi
Temp: 66 degrees
Small burnout first

Holy carnage!
I noticed that your u-joints do not extend the full width of the yoke's saddle. I had to replace my rear u-joint earlier this year and it looks exactly like yours. Since you snapped the shaft and not the driveshaft yoke, I guess I won't worry about it.

Go aluminum, and go PST. Rated at 1200 HP, and a lifetime warranty I believe. I have no reason to not like mine yet. Your lucky that's all the damage that happened, could have been worse. If you plan on putting a slick tire on the car, I would opt for the extra 120 bucks for the DS safety loop.

Been there done that.
Personally I'd rather have a 3' steel/chromoly than the 3.5' aluminum one but the PST should be fine. I recomend the Strange 3' chromoly.

Spohn performance has all upgrades for the f body, you need there 3 inch chrome moly 4130n with1350 yoke has.083 wall thk

My PST shaft should be here monday cant wait to get to the track again b4 it shuts down! should that have happend from a 3800 launch ! LOL 315 Nitto 555r's and small burn out ?

your drive shaft and devil 6 driveshaft broke,twisted in the same spot ., thats interesting gm weak spot i guess

Yes, there is a DS SL that is a two piece. It does not require you to drop the DS, Its been so long since looking, I forgot the brand. A quick search on the boards will show it.

red and black- 1999 Formula/WS6
lakewood has a two piece loop thats also bolt in. thats what i have and was very easy to install.
