    shift chip?

so one of the guys i went to HS with is now a certified mechanic and has an IROC with the 4l603 trani, and hes gonna do an install of a higher stall TC, and he thinks they make a chip that works just as well for my trani since mine is electronic, anyone know of this chip and how well it works? cost? otherwise we'll just put a standard shift kit in it. thanks!

well, there is no 'chip' to put in. you have to reprogram the PCM. by reprogramming the PCM, you can change the shift points and firm up the shifts.
