Rear end help!!!
I hope someone can help me! I have a 2001 camaro ss and I have to change my differential and my pinion seal bearing. I'm having the hardest time taking the bearing. I'm not sure if it needs a special tool or does it just come right off and I'm just missing it. Someone please help..

i think there might be a tool im not sure but if you can break the berring apart to where the inner berring race is all thats left you can cut into it with a hacksaw or even a cutting wheel if you have one cut a groove on both sides put a chizel in one of the grooves and hit it with a hammer... the race will break off little time consuming but better than trying to pull on it all day with no progress

Yep, either cut it off, or have it pressed off. Getting the new one on can be fun too ! I bake the bearing in the oven at 175* and throw the pinion in the freezer. Put the shims on, and the bearing will drop right on. You only have one shot to get it right !
