Most, if not all, will tell you to not invest putting money into the stock 10 bolt. The 7.5" is already small and weak. Adding 4.10 gear ratio will make the teeth on the pinion even weaker. You'll likely end up grenading it, especially with any kind of traction.

    I would suggest a 9" or 12 bolt.

Need a custom fabbed 12 bolt. About $2800 I think. However, many people have lots of miles on the OE diff, and many more have grenaded theirs with stock power. So far, 110k on my OE diff and no problems (yet).

You will likely spend 3200.00 or so by the time you are done with the swap. The 10 bolt should have never been put under the GTO, SS or WS6. I like the S60 but it is a little heavy. The 9" is the most popular and the 12 bolt would be the cheapest. Good luck with the swap.

I did an S60 in December, $2,400 shipped to my door. You will need to shorten you stock driveshaft with the S60 or just order a chrome-molly shaft from Strange ($300) I went with the Strange driveshaft.

Neither of you are a stick with 4.10 gears either I'm guessing
Boost gets you laid, unless your name is Jon.

^^^ Stick yes, 4.10 gears no. I've thought about that, tho.

And I always think about getting some DRs, but then I remember my poor little 7.5!

OP...I've got 130k on mine with OE diff, and no problems yet. Basically stock LS1 though....
