    New 9 inch noisy

    I just got a 9inch installed and im noticing a SLIGHT whine coming from it..now im not sure if this is normal or not?????...its still in the process of being broken in.

    My moser's like that too... I have all solid LCAs' & the extreme duty torque arm that amplifies the noise into the cab... Actually, I don't recall ever having a quiet rear !!! LOL

    With any aftermarket, High performance rear end with aftermarket gears you will get some whine out of it. It's the price you pay if you want to play. I would say if it is just unbearable and totally screaming, something is wrong and you might need to have them checked out. Just make sure you perform the proper break in and heat quenching cycles.

    Mine is realtively quiet with Motive performance 4.30's. only my locker makes a lot of noise.

    Likewise. Never heard any whine with mine however with TD's dumped it would be hard to hear. The locker can be heard quite well though.
