    This might sound crazy...

What all is involved in putting a dana 60 out of 1 ton ford underneath the camaro? I got someone who can cut the tubes down and fabricate all the brackets, but who makes custom length axle shafts, and what about the disc brakes?

Not sure it can be done with out a bunch of $. First off we have a torque arm and trying to get a mount for that might be difficult. For all the $, time, and effort you are looking at. Strange makes a complete ready to install s-60 for around $2700. It might be your best bet.

I have read many guys try to adapt rearends into the new f-body and they wished they just bought a prefabed unit. It costed less, looks much better and could be done in a weekend.

Your best bet is to sell the rear end and buy Strange a S-60 or a 9" that is ready to go. I checked them both out and the 9" is just as strong and cheaper than the S-60. Plus you will not have to shorten your driveshaft.
