Is it or isn't it a LSD

I have looked at the how to section on replacing rear gears and noticed that the carrier in the second website looks different with the "screw gears" in it. Is that carrier still a LSD? I recently purchased a rear axle assembly and was told that it has a LSD, I'm just trying to make sure before wasting time and putting it my car.

Yes, if it has the "screw gears" it is a LSD, just the new style, forget what the name is for it though.
