    Installing a 12 bolt

I just picked up a used Strange 12 bolt and started installing it today. I ran into a few things I have questions about. I got the rear end and a denny's driveshaft for $1800 I was told the rear only has ~1000 miles on it. So it sounded like a steal.

What gear lube should be used when I change it? and do I need any additives?

I had relocation brackets on my 10 bolt, so I assume I'm going to need to get another set because they were welded on? I know I have to make sure it says they fit a 12 bolt.

Are these the right mounting holes that I should be using for my torque arm? It looks like if I tried to use the other 2 its way to close to the drive shaft.

How do I go about hooking up the traction control? I got 2 wires coming out the top of the rear end, I imagine I have to butt splice them or something since there is no connector.

I have the new rear end in, most everything is done with it just need to run the brake lines and tighten all the bolts. Overall its been a pretty easy install though. Heres a couple pictures!

I believe the outer bolt holes are for a 9 in install. That rearend might be set up for non traction control. I have a s60 without traction control installed in mine and the abs sensor mounts to the top of the third member like yours. Check your new rearend and see if it has reluctor wheels mounted behind the axle flang. If it doesent its a non traction control unit. Hope this helps.

My torque arm's mounted to my Strange 12 bolt same as yours. If you got the Eaton posi in it, don't use synthetic (as per Strange and Eatons instructions). Any ole 80/90 dino oil is fine. Not sure if you need the additive but it don't hurt so I threw GM limited slip additive in it as well.
