Hwy MPG question
How much hwy mpg do you think i will lose going from 273's to 323 in a 3400 stall a4. I get now roughly 22-24. Just curious.
TSP Torquer V2 cam, ported heads,fast 90/90 combo, LT's, 3400 stall, magnaflow CB, most other bolt ons, full suspension, t-top and HID conversion

Well the stall doesn't matter because at highway speeds it's locked. There's only 300 RPM difference between the two at 68 MPH, so I'd say minimal loss. Last time I checked got about the same as you with a stall and 3.42's.

With my 3800 stall and 3:23s I get about 23 MPG on the highway. As long as the convertor has a lockup, they don't make much difference on the highway. Its in town where the convertor will decline your MPG more.

I lost less than 1mpg going from 3:42s to 4:10s in my M6. I wouldn't worry about it. Personally I'd get 3:73s.

Most of the driving I do is highway and one of my friends went from 273's to 373's in his a4 and lost a considerable amount of mileage.
