How do I know what differential?

How do I figure out whether I have the regular differential or the limited-slip differential? I have a 2001 Trans Am (non-WS6)

Look for RPO code G80 (Axle Positraction, Limited Slip) on the drivers side door.

All the V8 cars should have the limited Slip Differential.

+1. ALL V-8 LS1's, and most certain of LT1's as well. Not like my 86z28 with a 3.73 open diff that would spin in 3rd gear with one tire.
