    go from stickshift to turbo 400

    i have a camaro 1999 ss and is has a t 56 in it and i recently purchase a turbo 400 i wanted to know how hard of a job is it

    its going to be hard lots of stuff to replace..since your going from a manual to a Auto i think the computer needs to be replaced but dont quote me on it...its going cost some money im sure of that...i have done the whole auto to manual but never the other way around and i will never do it agian but why do you want to change it over anyways

    I dont believe the 400 is computer controlled.
    If you want to do it right your gona be in the 3K area for sure.

    tranny 1200-2500
    convertor 800-1200
    flexplate 300( sfi)
    6 speed crosmember 60
    tranny mount 30
    lockar dipstick 60
    shifter 150-250
    drive shaft 150- 300
    speedo stuff 300
    cooler 20
    lines 20
    torq arm 300

    Too bad we don't live close. I have a complete LS1/A4 setup from an 02 Firebird with 27k on it I'm transplanting into a 94 Z and have to find a T56 to replace the A4.

    We could have swapped

    He HAS a TH400.

    Well I think thats what it says, he has a typo.
